The microchannels forming the microfluidic chip are connected to allow fluid to pass through. The inner diameter of these channels is usually 5 to 500 µm, and the microchannel network must be specifically designed for the application and analysis to be performed, such as cell culture, organs on a chip, DNA analysis, lab-on-chip, etc. The use of microfluidic equipment can reduce sample/reagent consumption, increase automation functions, as well as minimize analysis time.
